Blindshot

Blindshot is an attempt to create a video game based on sound rather than visuals. Players stand in the center of a multichannel speaker setup and then turn to fire their gun at enemies based soley on the postion of enemy sounds in the sound field. As levels are cleared, the enemies move faster and faster getting progressively more difficult to hit.

Blindshot was a joint project with Larry Wu, who programmed the spatialized audio and game elements. I was responsible for the microcontroller programming and electronics prototyping of the 'gun'. The controller featured a HMC6352 Compass sensor and multiple buttons interfaced with a PIC 18F452 microcontroller.
